So in less then 24hrs I’m already fed up with all the talk about who is going to be the next England football team manager. Lead item in the news?? I think not.

It’s a poisoned chalice anyway. I can’t think of why anyone in their right mind would want the job. Has there ever been an England manager that has got away with their reputation intact? It may well be all fun and games to begin with but at the first sign of trouble or what the English media think is a poor result or performance and the knives will be out for whoever the unfortunate currently in the job is.

What do you reckon the press reaction would be for poor old ‘Arry if he took the job and they fail at Euro 2012? He’d get the slated just like those that had gone before him and the press would be clamouring for a new exciting foreign manager.

The more time I spend watching sports other than football the more I dislike football. The players behave terribly to each other and the referees, there’s no respect between players, there’s no respect between fans. There is little in the game that would make you recommend it to anyone.

Back in the real world we have a busy weekend coming up. JKH won the poetry recital competition in her school class for the second year in a row which was great. So this evening we have the Scottish Night at South Esk Primary when we will get to watch all the class winners perform. May even get a cup of tea and piece of shortbread.

Saturday we down at the Braehead Arena watching the Davis Cup tie between Great Britain and Slovakia. Will be tought without Andy Murray but hopefully the boys will get a good result. A lot will depend on the doubles which is what we are watching on Saturday.

Sunday and its off to Blairgowrie so SCH can play tennis for Montrose Tennis Club. Hope we get the right result there too!

Probably my longest post ever.

falling feels like flying….. until you hit the ground…

best opening ling of a song? i think it just might be.

BBC Sport – Andy Murray loses to Novak Djokovic in Australian Open semis.

Gutted for Andy Murry as he played a blinder today. Anyone that says he doesn’t ‘have it’ really doesn’t know what they are talking about.

Brilliant game of tennis today over almost 5 hours. I’ll say that again….5 hours. An hour of tennis is tiring enough but a fantastic effort by both players today although Djokovic needs to stop the ‘dead man walking’ impression he was giving off in sets 2 and 3.

my run this morning.

well, finally made it back from silverstone last night. it was a brilliant weekend with dad h watching the grand prix and staying in the caravan.

the site that we were staying at was four massive fields on a farm. here’s a pic from early thursday evening as we were taking a wander. it got a lot busier and a little nosier but it all added to the experience.

i have some not-very-good pictures of the f1 cars as they passed by but they are a bit blurry. need some seriously good camera equipment to take decent pictures i think. i have some other photos on another camera so i will try and get them downloaded when i can.

all change at ckt….

finally got fed up editing the pages all by myself so i’ve gone to wordpress. hopefully this will get me to update these pages more often but probably not.

won’t be getting updated this week after today as i’m off to silverstone this weekend with Dad H. weekend general admission tickets which were bought for my 40th birthday last year. can’t wait.
